Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Following on from yesterday’s post surrounding Ustad Bade Fateh Ali Khan, it makes sense that we take a look at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, who was considered by many to be the greatest Asian music vocalist to have ever walked the earth. In 1985, after Nusrat had been signed by Oriental Star Agencies, he came to Manchester and performed at the Asian School of Music. Coming under the umbrella organisation of Chase Music who specialise in digital pianos and electric keyboards, offering the best prices on the market, the Asian School of Music was honoured to have Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan as a performer and teacher at the school. Today, the Asian School of Music is still based at its original Manchester base, which is now the headquarters of the Chase Direct music shop, where you can find a whole range of electronic pianos including the Chase P40 and the Chase P55. Back in the 80s Chase Music was known for its synthesizers which were internationally award winning. Having founded the London Synthesizer School, synthesizers made by Chase Music were some of the top synthesizers in the world. Today, Chase is still up and running, but the speciality is now digital pianos and portable keyboards.
