Ribble Valley International Piano Week 2018

This Wednesday, the Ribble Valley International Piano Week will kick off with an evening of sensational piano music. The event is held annually in Blackburn, Lancashire and has been growing in popularity since it launched way back in 1987. The Ribble Valley International Piano Week often features concerts from world class pianist guests, and there are always super events throughout the week. If you are a pianist, professional or beginner, this week will have something for you!

Piano Programme for Wednesday

The opening concert on Wednesday is jam packed full of piano music and there is a grand total of ten items on the programme! These ten pieces of piano music are from Weber, Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Ravel, Smetina, Martinu, Szymanowski, and the King of piano music himself; Chopin. Hearing so many wonderful pieces of piano music in one concert will be like seeing a musical timeline of the piano, and the periods of music it has featured in. Play the piano at home

A lot of the pianists performing as part of the Ribble Valley International Piano Week will practise at home on a digital piano. Digital pianos are much more convenient instruments to have in the home than an acoustic piano for most people. They are more portable, don’t need tuning, can be silent if you use the headphone feature, and they still have the amazing sound of a concert piano.

If you would like to buy your very own digital piano, head to Chase Direct where you will be pleasantly surprised by the excellent low prices. Chase Direct stock the very latest electric piano models from top brands such as Kawai and Yamaha. Kawai pianos are some of the most popular electric pianos that Chase Direct sell and the newest models currently on sale are the Kawai KDP-110 and the Kawai ES 110.
