Piano Duets in St James’ Church
Tomorrow, there will be yet another excellent concert of piano music in St James’ Church, Piccadilly. This particular concert will be focussed on piano duets by Dvorak, Ravel, and Moskowski.
While St James’ Church and other regular concert venues often host concerts of exquisite piano repertoire, piano duets are seen a little less often. If you are in the London area tomorrow lunch time then make sure you head over and be sure to get there in plenty of time for the 1:10pm start! Like all lunchtime concerts at St James’ Church, no tickets will be required and there will be a retiring collection. A retiring collection is a fabulous way of supporting the musicians and the venue, so be sure to put something into the collection to show your appreciation for the event.
A Programme of Piano Duets
The concert tomorrow will be performed by Silvia Bellani and David Peroni who have received high praise from the press and previous audiences. They have performed in many different venues across Europe and this concert in St James’ will no doubt be an excellent show for all involved.
The programme of piano duets will consist of ‘Excerpts from 10 Legends’ by Dvorak, ‘5 Spanish Dances for four hands’ by Moskowski, ‘Rhapsodie Espagnole’ by Ravel, and finally, ‘Overture from Sinfonietta for four hands’ by Kapustin. This is a wonderful selection of piano music and will open your eyes to the wonders of piano duets for four hands!
