Celebrate Summer this Wednesday with the Orchestra of the Swan
The glorious summer weather this bank holiday weekend calls for celebration, and what better way to celebrate than with a concert!? This Wednesday evening in Worcester there will be a fabulous concert of summer-inspiring music brought to you by the Orchestra of the Swan and Bernard D’Ascoli on the piano. The concert has been titled ‘Italian Sunshine’, so it seems a perfect way to celebrate a little bit of British sunshine. Tickets start at £17 and more information can be found on the official Orchestra of the Swan website.
Bring out the sun with the Orchestra of the Swan ‘s Programme
Bernard D’Ascoli is a much loved pianist across France and this concert is a brilliant opportunity to see him paired up with the Orchestra of the Swan for an evening of glorious music. As given away by the title, the theme of the concert is Italy, and there is a distinctively Italian feel the music in the programme. The evening starts with Mozart’s ‘Concerto for piano and orchestra no 21 in C’ and then moves on to ‘Symphony No 4 in A, ‘Italian’’ by Mendelssohn. The evening will conclude with Rossini’s ‘Overture from L’Italiana in Algeri, ‘The Italian Girl in Algiers’’. If anyone is interested, there is also a free pre-concert talk which begins at 6:45pm.
