Another Super Lunchtime Concert in St James’s Church
St James’s Church in Piccadilly holds regular lunchtime concerts. If you are ever in the London area then they are certainly worth a visit, especially as you don’t usually need a ticket to be admitted. This Friday there will be a lunchtime concert which is due to start at 1:10pm and will consist of some excellent playing from Phillip Leslie on the piano.
The Concert Programme for St James’s Church
The programme for this lunchtime concert in St James’s Church will consist of three classics for piano which are sure to delight any lover of piano music. The first piece of music on the agenda is ‘3 Estampes’ by Debussy. Next is ‘Sonata for Piano No 28 in A’ by Beethoven. The concert will conclude with some of the legendary piano master, Chopin. The rafters of St James’s Church will be filled with the notes of ‘Polonaise No 7 in A flat’ which is sometimes more commonly known as ‘Polonaise-fantaisie’.
As with all lunchtime concerts at St James’s Church, there will be a retiring collection where you can give however much or little you see fit. Giving to the collection is a brilliant way of showing your appreciation for the concert and ensuring that there will be more in future.
