Airport Piano marks the beginning of a Beautiful Partnership
Countless articles are available online about pianos in public places. Earlier this month a video of one of these pianos being played went viral. Filmed in Toulouse-Blagnac airport by an unrelated member of the public, the video shows two strangers making beautiful music together.
Hallelujah for the Airport Piano
A woman who was waiting for her flight in a French airport whiled the minutes away by tinkering on the grand piano in the waiting area. She was approached by a man who asked her if she knew Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. The rest is history! The pair received rapturous applause from all who had stopped to listen, and are now working on several professional tracks together which are due to be live on iTunes soon. If you would like to see the video for yourself then it can be found here.
The Joys of Public Pianos
Public pianos are proving to be a real success all over the world. This roaring success is due to a number of reasons. Primarily, public pianos inspire. Children see the pianos, play the pianos, and want to learn how to create beautiful music on them. As seen in this recent video, public pianos also bring people together. This story is not the first tale of people being brought together through the magic of airport, train station, or street pianos. It’s definitely not going to be the last story of this kind either. More and more people are upgrading their tired old upright pianos to digital instruments and then donating their old pianos to public piano movements.
Soon, every airport in the world will have a piano and new friendships will flourish all over the world. If you are feeling inspired and are in need of a digital piano then have a look at the Chase Direct website.
